Flyers for the Educational Departments of gbs County Bentheim
What's It About?
From technical high schools, technical upper secondary schools, school-based training programs, career entry classes to dual system training sectors – the vocational schools of Grafschaft Bentheim are doing an incredible job preparing young people for the future.
However, this impressive range of offerings needs to be communicated effectively. In addition to the website, printed flyers were created to be distributed at government offices, trade fairs, and special events.
Challenges
- Challenge: The goal was to present the current educational programs at gbs Grafschaft Bentheim in an engaging, target audience–focused manner.
- Special Focus: This involved selecting the right visual and textual materials, determining the ideal amount of text per flyer, and crafting a message that truly resonates with the intended audience.
Introducing 17 Departments
Each department brought its own unique challenges. With only rudimentary visual material available, most photos had to be meticulously sourced from specialized stock photo sites – a task made even more challenging by strict German occupational safety regulations! Moreover, the flyers were designed to showcase young professionals at the start of their careers, featuring both young men and women (ideally smiling at the camera or focused on their work), offering appealing insights into everyday work life and sparking curiosity about each department.
The texts also posed a challenge – many were several years old and no longer up to date. Additionally, while the school community was familiar with abbreviations and official terminology, these terms often didn’t resonate with younger audiences. To address this, the texts were reworked based on the website content and in close collaboration with the respective department heads.
